Steve and I had our first "collaborative decorating" effort last night. We managed NOT to kill each other in the process, and we're both pretty pleased with the final product. I've started referring to it as "The Bad-@$$ Shelf," Steve's description has something to do with a wall carnival, and we know you're all jealous of our mad decor skills. ;)This shelf sits just above the kitchen table. It's slightly to the left of center (I know it looks a little tilted, too, but that's just the angle of the shot), and we have plans to hang a couple of pieces of framed vintage poster art from Puck & Judge magazines in the remaining blank space.
i want a badass shelf! did you get those mad skills at steinmart? i also love that you are representing OK with the vintage tray! i think that shelf may need a little piece of frankoma too :)
ReplyDeletei just realized that this is the first glimpse into your home that i have ever seen! i can't wait to see more! hopefully in person very soon.
ReplyDeletethe shelf is steve's -- he has two more that are similar. there's a smaller one on the other side of the kitchen that has more of my chickens on it. i kind of always had the decorating thing going on, but my manager at my very first SteinMart picked up on my skills and helped me hone them -- Steve's skills aren't too bad, either!
ReplyDeletesomewhere we have an Ohio vintage tray that goes with the OK tray. i think the plan (once it's located) is to place it where the beer tray is currently positioned.
i think you're right, i need to find some frankoma.
hopefully by the time you come and visit our new kitchen wall colors will be in place as well!
oh, and can you believe Chandler is actually in the map that's on that tray?!? (the trays were freebies from our friend, Britt.)
ReplyDeleteI know i'm jealous!! :)
